My Ugly Stick, kills me!
My ugly stick seems to degenerate health very fast, what is the point in a weapon stealing health? Makes no sense to me!
* Blunt damage: 19-35 (req. 9 Hammer Mastery) * Damage +15% * Armor -10 (while attacking) * Life stealing: 5 * Health regeneration -1 * Health +30 Last edited by Warpy; Aug 28, 2006 at 04:05 AM // 04:05.. |

I take it it's a vampiric staff of sorts.
Well, a vampiric weapon that steals health is very powerful, and had to be balanced out with the negative health gen. I reccomend you have a second non-life draining weapon. As a ranger, barrage + life stealing bow = w00tness. Of course, that doesn't apply, but you can see how it works out. |

It's for people who like to steal health from their targets, 1-5[or 3-5, I can't remember] is how much health it can take, depending on the weapon[no wands or staffs]. The degeneration is for balance

you get -1 health regeneration with vampiric wepons.. just switch wepons out while not fighting, solves the problem

So long as you keep hitting your opponent, you gain more health than you lose. Just switch to a different weapon set in between battles, like Ulivious said. ^^

It steals 5 health from the enemy on top of whatever damage you do. Essentially you do 5 more damage every hit. It's one of the better prefixes you could have, and the preferred one for physical damage.

yep, vampiric mods do the most damage over time, however to compensate that they have -1 health degen, slap on some mending or switch wepons and you'll be fine as i stated before, and just so eldin knows, the ugly stick is a hammer not staff

A vampiric weapon deals an additional amount of flat damage on top of it's normal damage, be that 3, 5, or whatever. That damage bypasses armor, so it always adds that much damage to every hit. Vamp weapons are very powerful, thus the health degen.

So, if I smash the enemy with my Ugly Stick I will gain health each time?

Yes, in addition to whatever damage you do with the weapon or an attack skill, they take an additional 5 points of armor-ignoring damage and you receive 5 points of healing.

Also it's not a bad choice for AD spikes in PvP, but I'm not sure about the -10 armor while attacking and having Frenzy on...see what works out for you best |

Vampiric upgrades, or simply vamp, is what the lifesteal mod is normally called. If you wanted to make your own weapon with lifesteal you'd look for a vamp mod.
